Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO AMACIANTE PARA TECIDOS, E, PROCESSO PARA REDUçãO DE MAU CHEIRO EM UMA COMPOSIçãO". The invention provides a fabric softener composition which has a greater resistance to the development of foul odor and which comprises: i) a liquid or soft solid derivative of a cyclic polyol (CPE) or reduced saccharide (RSE) resulting from 35 to 100% of the hydroxyl groups in the polyol or saccharide being esterified or etherified, the CPE or RSE having 2 or more ester or ether groups independently linked to a C ~ 8 ~ -C ~ 22 ~ alkyl or alkenyl chain, where at least one of the chains attached to the ester or ether groups has at least one unsaturated bond; and ii) a deposition aid and iii) one or more antioxidant (s), where the weight ratio from i) to iii) is 20: 1 or greater. The invention also provides a process for reducing foul odor in a composition comprising a CPE or an RSE as defined above by the addition of at least one antioxidant.
