Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA REDUZIR O ATRASO DA TRANSMISSãO DE DADOS DE PACOTE, E, ESTAçãO BASE". A presente invenção provê um processo e sistema para reduzir o atraso da transmissão de dados de pacote incluindo receber dados de uma rede por uma estação base e designar uma estação móvel a um canal de pacote que tem um modo ativo e um modo de radiolocalização rápido variável. Dados de pacote são trocados no modo ativo até que um primeiro temporizador de inatividade expire. A estação base e estação móvel são então comutadas para um modo de radiolocalização rápido variável no qual dados de pacote adicionais podem ser trocados, em que o modo de radiolocalização rápido variável tem um atraso maior entre oportunidades de transmissão do que o modo ativo. O modo de radiolocalização rápido variável programa intervalos de tempo específicos que são monitorados para a transmissão e recebimento de pacotes sucessivos. Além, a periodicidade de futuros intervalos de tempo pode variar baseado no atraso entre os pacotes sucessivos. A estação móvel permanece em modo de radiolocalização rápido variável até a expiração de um segundo temporizador de inatividade ou na recepção de uma oportunidade de transmissão e transferência de dados subseq³ente para ou da estação móvel.
