Abstract

"ESTIMATIVA ADAPTATIVA DE CANAL EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO". Um método e um circuito para estimar adaptativamente as condições de canal de um canal piloto em um sistema de comunicação sem fio. O método inclui estimar estatísticas de canal (300) do canal piloto e filtrar adaptativamente o canal piloto em resposta às estatísticas de canal estimadas. A estimativa é efetuada pela filtragem de um sinal de canal derivado a partir do canal piloto para determinar uma média de canal estimada e uma covariância de canal estimada. Para efetuar a filtragem adaptável, a presente invenção particiona o canal piloto em uma ou mais partições (slots) de tempo e pondera cada partição de tempo de acordo com as estatísticas de canal. Dessa forma, uma vantagem da presente invenção é a de que ela atualiza automática e continuamente os parâmetros do filtro piloto de modo a otimizar o desempenho do filtro piloto dentro de uma ampla gama de condições de canal.
