Abstract

"SISTEMA PARA PROCESSAR NOMES DE DOMìNIO DA INTERNET E ENDEREçOS". Um sistema possibilita a alocação de nomes de domínio da Internet para uso em um sistema de intra-net residencial, de Internet privada ou outro independentemente da Internet pública. O sistema usa um método para traduzir um nome de domínio para um endereço de página da web compatível com a Internet correspondente para uso em um dispositivo de processamento suportando comunicação bidirecional compatível com a Internet em um site do usuário. O método envolve examinar ( 310 ) uma mensagem que é destinada para um servidor de nome de domínio e que transporta um nome de domínio a ser traduzido para um endereço compatível com a Internet. A mensagem é interceptada ( 315,317 ) se o nome de domínio transportado iguala uma entrada em um banco de dados de nome de domínio interceptor predeterminado. O nome de domínio interceptado é traduzido ( 320 ) para um endereço compatível com a Internet usando o banco de dados do nome de domínio interceptor. Os nomes de domínio podem ser alocados para suportar comunicação para dispositivos locais para o dispositivo de processamento sem a necessidade por comunicação dos nomes de domínio alocados para um provedor de serviço não local.
