Abstract

"PROCESSO DE FABRICAçãO DE BLOCOS CARBONADOS DE ELEVADA RESISTêNCIA AOS CHOQUES TéRMICOS". A invenção refere-se a um processo simplificado de fabricação que permite obter blocos carbonados, e notadamente anodos destinados à fabricação de alumínio por eletrólise, segundo o processo Hall-Héroult, de elevada resistência ao choque térmico. Esse processo compreende uma operação de ajuste da granulometria de um agregado carbonado que inclui: a) a separação de um agregado carbonado moldado inicial AC em uma primeira fração F1 constituída de grãos, cujo tamanho é inferior a X, e uma segunda fração F2 constituída de grãos, cujo tamanho é superior ou igual a X, X estando compreendido entre 0,2 e 2 mm; b) a moagem B1 da primeira fração F1 e de uma parte P1 da segunda fração F2, de maneira a se obter um pó F que compreende uma proporção controlada de grãos ultrafinos; c) a mistura da parte restante P2 da fração F2 e desse pó F em proporções que permitem obter blocos carbonados crus, cuja relação dita "Gr/S" entre a proporção PGr de grãos de tamanho superior a 0,3 mm e a proporção PS de grãos de tamanho compreendido entre 30 <109>m e 03 mm é pelo menos igual a 4, e blocos carbonados cozidos de alta densidade.
