Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA AUTO-POLARIZAçãO DE UM AMPLIFICADOR". A presente invenção proporciona um método e aparelho para auto-polarizar uma amplificador. A invenção é particularmente útil ao polarizar amplificadores não lineares e amplificadores cujo sinal de entrada pode ter a amplitude modulada (AM). O sistema de autopolarização da presente invenção possui um circuito de retroalimentação de polarização ativo que continuamente ajusta a condição de polarização de um amplificador para um estado desejado durante a operação do amplificador por monitorar uma quantidade física indicativa do estado de operação do amplificador e controlando a polarização do amplificador de modo a controlar o ponto de operação do amplificador suficientemente para compensar variações nas características elétricas do amplificador, na carga do amplificador, na temperatura do amplificador e nos sinais de entrada. No caso de um sinal de entrada AM, o sistema de auto-polarização da presente invenção pode proporcionar uma função de amostra e controle de modo que a polarização do amplificador é a mesma durante períodos de força elevada e períodos de força baixa, mesmo que no entanto durante os períodos de força elevada o amplificador possa estar operando em uma região não linear. Em uma variação da invenção, o amplificador pode ser um transistor RF, por exemplo, um transistor bipolar e pode ser utilizado em um sistema de comunicações celular móvel. Adicionalmente, o presente sistema de auto-polarização de amplificador elimina a necessidade de manualmente estabelecer a polarização do amplificador durante a produção e permite o uso de qualquer tipo de transistor no amplificador.
