Abstract
<B>APERFEIçOAMENTO DA CAPACIDADE DE DETECçãO DE SINAIS NOS SISTEMAS DE GPS<D> Os dados de navegação estimados do Sistema Global de Posicionamento (GPS) são usados para aumentar o intervalo de integração de sinal. Em uma modalidade, um servidor WAG (de GPS assistido por sem fio) recebe sinais de GPS e demodula os dados de navegação modulados para os sinais de GPS. O servidor WAG utiliza características conhecidas dos dados de navegação demodulados para gerar os dados de navegação estimados para o satélite. A estimativa pode ser conduzida diversos segundos, ou até mesmo minutos, antes do tempo. O terminal sem fio utiliza estes dados de navegação estimados para conduzir uma operação de eliminação de dados para permitir que o intervalo de integração seja ampliado (além de 2 ms, por exemplo), aumentando deste modo a sensibilidade geral de detecção de sinal no terminal sem fio. Em uma outra modalidade, as informações provenientes de sinais de GPS fortes são usadas para detectar sinais de GPS fracos provenientes de outros satélites. Nesta modalidade, os sinais de GPS fortes são recebidos diretamente pelo terminal sem fio a partir dos satélites. Depois de terem sido detectados sinais de GPS fortes, os sinais de GPS fortes são demodulados para serem computadas efemérides de satélite inclusive dados de navegação. Os dados de navegação demodulados são então comparados com características conhecidas dos dados de navegação para se fazer a estimativa dos dados de navegação para os sinais de GPS fracos. Os dados de navegação estimados são então usados para se ampliar o intervalo de integração para sinais de GPS fracos, de modo que os sinais de GPS fracos possam também ser detectados no terminal sem fio.
