Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "éSTERES DE CAROTENóIDES". Um processo de pigmentação da gema de ovo, dos tegumentos e/ou da gordura subcutânea de aves e da carne e/ou dos tegumentos de peixes e de crustáceos por inclusão de um ou mais carotenóides na alimentação de tais aves, peixes e crustáceos é caracterizado pelo fato de que os ditos carotenóides são ésteres carotenóides de fórmula em que R significa metila, C~ 3-16~ alquila, C~ 3-16~ alquenila ou C~ 5-8~ cicloalquila. Também abrangidos pela invenção são a alimentação pertinente enriquecida por carotenóide para aves, peixes ou crustáceos, as pré-misturas para incorporação a tais alimentações, bolinhas contendo um ou mais destes ésteres carotenóides para incorporação a tais pré-misturas e o uso dos ésteres carotenóides no processo de pigmentação. Alguns dos ésteres carotenóides de fórmula 1 são compostos novos e estes constituem um outro aspecto da presente invenção.
