Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA CONTROLAR UM DIâMETRO EXTERNO DE UM TUBO DE ISCA DE PREFORMA DURANTE UM PROCESSO DE DEPOSIçãO DE CAMADA DE VIDRO". Um processo e aparelho para controlar um diâmetro externo de um tubo de isca de preforma durante um processo de deposição de camada de vidro. O aparelho inclui uma fonte de gás em comunicação com um interior do tubo de isca de preforma. Um monitor de temperatura mede uma temperatura de uma zona quente do tubo de isca de preforma e gera um sinal de saída de temperatura, indicativo da temperatura medida. Um monitor de diâmetro mede o diâmetro da zona quente do tubo de isca de preforma e gera um sinal de saída de diâmetro, indicativo do diâmetro medido. Uma unidade de medição de pressão mede a pressão no interior do tubo de isca de preforma e gera um sinal de saída de pressão, indicativo da pressão medida. Um dispositivo de controle recebe o sinal de saída de temperatura, o sinal de saída de diâmetro, e o sinal de saída de pressão e determina uma vazão total adicionando juntos (1) uma vazão base associada com a temperatura medida, e (2) um ajustamento de vazão baseado no diâmetro medido e na pressão medida. O dispositivo de controle controla a fonte de gás para dar saída a um gás a uma vazão igual à vazão total.
