Abstract

"DISPERSãO COLOIDAL AQUOSA, PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO, E, UTILIZAçãO DA MESMA". A invenção refere-se a uma dispersão coloidal aquosa de um composto de cério e, pelo menos, um outro elemento M escolhido dentre as terras raras diferentes de cério; o titânio, o vanádio, o cloro, o manganês, o ferro, o cobalto, o níquel, o cobre, o zinco, o alumínio, o gálio e o zircónio. Esta dispersão é caracterizada em que ela apresenta uma condutividade de, pelo menos, 5mS/cm. Ela é obtida por um processo em que se faz reagir, com uma base, uma mistura de, pelo menos, um sal de cério com pelo menos um sal de um elemento M acima mencionado e em presença de um ácido em quantidade tal que a relação atómica H^ +^/(Ce+M) seja superior a 0,1, depois redispersa-se, na água, o precipitado proveniente da reação precedente. As dispersões deste tipo podem ser utilizadas em catálise, em lubrificação, nas cerâmicas, na fabricação de compostos luminóforos, na cosmética e como agentes anti-corrosão.
