Processo eletrônico de pagamento para o pagamento de uma mercadoria ou prestação de serviço oferecida por um vendedor e solicitada por um comprador através de uma rede de dados, respectivamente rede de telecomunicação, por meio de um crédito eletrônico pré-pago através da rede, essencialmente em tempo real, sendo que uma quantia em crédito predeterminada, necessária para o pagamento da mercadoria ou da prestação de serviço, é transferida para uma conta intermediária eletrônica do comprador, particularmente depois de uma transferência intermediária através de um sinal de débito, para uma conta final eletrônica do vendedor, em resposta a um sinal de transferência enviado por um primeiro aparelho terminal do comprador.
