Abstract
"COMPRESSãO AUMENTADA DE IMAGENS EM NìVEL CINZENTO". Método para a compressão de uma imagem do entrada (40) que inclui uma pluralidade de pixels (43, 45, 47) tendo respectivos valores pixel. O método inclui quantificar os valores pixel de entrada, de modo a gerar respectivos valores quantificados e gerar uma imagem quantificada substituindo-se os valores pixel quantificados para os respectivos valores pixel na imagem de entrada. Os valores pixel de entrada na imagem de entrada são reordenados, de modo a gerar a imagem reordenada (59) na qual os valores pixel de entrada são agrupados por seus respectivos valores quantificados. A imagem quantificada e a imagem reordenada são comprimidas de modo a gerar um arquivo de imagem de saída.
