Abstract

"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA REDUçãO DE LATêNCIA DE VOZ EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO DO TIPO VOZ-SOBRE-DADOS". Um método e um equipamento para reduzir a latência de voz em um sistema de comunicação sem fio do tipo voz-sobre-dados. Em um transmissor (100) , informações de áudio a serem transmitidas são primeiramente codificadas usando-se um codificador de voz (104) operando em um primeiro modo de operação. Pelo menos um parâmetro de operação no transmissor é medido por um processador (118), sendo o pelo menos um parâmetro de operação proporcional a uma latência entre o transmissor (100) e um receptor. Caso o pelo menos um parâmetro operacional supere um limite predeterminado, o codificador de voz (104) recebe instruções para operar em um segundo modo de operação. Quando o pelo menos um parâmetro operacional cai abaixo de um segundo limite predeterminado, o codificador de voz (104) recebe instruções para operar no primeiro modo de operação.
