Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE áCIDO L-ASCóRBICO". A invenção refere-se a um método para a produção de ácido L-ascórbico, por meio do qual o ácido 2-ceto-L-gulónico livre ou C~ 3~-C~ 10~ alquil éster do ácido 2-ceto-L-gulónico é lactonizado sob condições ácidas, na presença de um solvente miscível em água e dito solvente produz in situ um solvente em que o ácido ascórbico é fracamente solúvel.
