Abstract

"REMOçãO DE AGITAçãO DE MULTIMìDIA EM UMA REDE DOMéSTICA DIGITAL ASSìNCRONA". Trata-se de um método e um aparelho utilizando um esquema de temporização de nível de sistema para remover a agitação a partir de pacotes de multimídia distribuídos através de uma rede assíncrona, em particular, uma rede assíncrona. A presente invenção supera os problemas associados com agitação introduzidos em uma rede assíncrona pela utilização de vários selos de tempo para sincronizar um relógio de dispositivo de cliente a um relógio de extremidade dianteira e para controlar o fluxo de dados no dispositivo de cliente de forma que coincidam com a taxa na qual os dados são recebidos por um receptor de banda larga acoplado à extremidade dianteira. Um primeiro selo de tempo é anexado aos pacotes de transporte quando os pacotes são recebidos a partir da extremidade dianteira. Um segundo selo de tempo é localizado no quadro de dados quando o quadro de dados é localizado na rede. Um terceiro selo de tempo é localizado no quadro de dados quando o quadro de dados é recebido da rede. Os segundo e terceiro selos de tempo são utilizados para sincronizar o relógio de cliente para o relógio de servidor, que por sua vez é travado em freq³ência ao relógio de extremidade dianteira. O primeiro selo de tempo é utilizado para o controle de fluxo de dados no qual o cliente controla o fluxo de dados de forma a corresponder à taxa na qual os dados são recebidos no servidor.
