Abstract
"ESTRUTURA DE FIBRA óTICA PRé-FORMA DE FIBRA óTICA, E, MéTODOS PARA FABRICAR UMA PRé-FORMA DE FIBRA PERFURADA, E UMA FIBRA PERFURADA, E PARA GUIAR LUZ AO LONGO DE UMA ESTRUTURA DE FIBRA PERFURADA". é descrita uma estrutura de fibra ótica que compreende uma fibra perfurada (20) arranjados em uma estrutura de suporte externa perfurada constituída de tubos perfurados (22) encapsulados em uma camisa externa de parede delgada (24). A fibra perfurada pode ter um núcleo sólido envolto por um revestimento perfurado que compreende uma pluralidade de anéis dos furos. Com a invenção, é possível produzir fibras revestidas e encapsuladas robustas, com formas de núcleo com microestrutura própria de dimensões micrométricas, de maneira relativamente fácil, utilizando-se a tecnologia de fabricação de fibras existente. Esta melhoria é um resultado de uma estrutura perfurada externa que reduz a massa térmica da estrutura de suporte e possibilita manter de forma confiável e controlável formas de pequenos furos durante o processo de fabricação da fibra.
