Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA MONITORAçãO DAS POPULAçõES MICROBIOLóGICAS EM UM MEIO OPACO". Um método para monitorar a contaminação microbiológica de meios opacos é descrito e reivindicado. Neste método, um Corante Fluorogênico é acrescentado a uma Alíquota de meio opaco. Após um certo período de tempo, um fluorómetro capaz de medir sinais fluorescentes em um meio opaco é usado para medir os sinais fluorogênicos do Corante Fluorogênico e do Corante Fluorogênico Reagido. Uma RELAçãO útil do sinal fluorescente do Corante Fluorogênico Reagido para o sinal fluorescente do Corante Fluorogênico é calculada e a informação compilada da RELAçãO é usada para determinar o estado de contaminação microbiológica no meio opaco. A Figura (1) mostra um gráfico de sinais fluorescentes, em contagens por segundo, de Resazurina e Resorufina em uma Pasta fluida Mineral no Tempo Zero e no Tempo Futuro.
