Abstract

"BIFENILSULFONAMIDAS PROVEITOSAS COMO INIBIDORES DE METALOPROTEASES DA MATRIZ". Os inibidores de enzimas MMP são sulfonamidas cíclicas de Fórmula I ou um seu sal farmaceuticamente aceitável, e sulfonamidas cíclicas de Fórmula III ou um seu sal farmaceuticamente aceitável, em que R^ 1^ e R^ 2^ incluem hidrogênio, alquila, e alquila substituído; R^ 3^ e R^ 4^ incluem hidrogênio, halogênio e alquila; X é OH ou NHOH. Os compostos de Fórmulas I e III são proveitosos para o tratamento de doenças mediadas por uma enzima MMP, incluindo o cancro, a osteoartrite, a artrite reumatóide, a insuficiência cardíaca e a inflamação.
