Abstract
"ARMADILHA PARA MONITORAMENTO E CAPTURA DO Anthonomus grandis (BICUDO DO ALGODOEIRO)". FOR MONITORING AND CATCHING ANTHONOMUS GRANIS (COTTON BICUDO)". The present invention relates to the field of insect traps, specifically for Anthonomus grandis (Boheman), popularly known as cotton boll weevil, one of the most researched pests in the world and responsible for the destruction of cotton crops. The use of traps can significantly reduce the potential for pest infestation and, consequently, the number of insecticide applications, with economic, ecological and social benefits, aiming to increase the productivity and rational control of the insect. The object of the present invention consists of a monitoring trap and, by snapping a structure into a mass capture trap, which allows to capture about three times more insects than the commonly used traps. The monitoring and mass capture trap consists of three structures: capture cup (1), funnel-shaped structure (9) and base structure (16), coupled to each other by means of fittings or pins.
