Abstract
"MéTODO PARA APLICAçãO DE REVESTIMENTO DE ALUMINIDO DE DIFUSãO EM UMA áREA SELETIVA DE UM COMPONENTE DE MOTOR DE TURBINA". A invenção refere-se a um método para aplicação do revestimento de aluminido de difusão em uma área seletiva de um componente de motor de turbina e o revestimento produzido por esse método são descritos. Uma lâmpada infravermelha de quartzo aquece somente substancialmente a área localizada do componente a ser revestido, ao invés da peça completa. Fita ativada ou não ativada com haleto (20) é aplicada na área a ser revestida e é mantida no lugar durante o revestimento usando um suporte de fita dimensionalmente estável de alta temperatura (30) fabricado de grafita ou cerâmica. A lâmpada infravermelha de quartzo é usada para aquecer somente a área desejada para uma temperatura de revestimento de aproximadamente 982,2 <198>C a aproximadamente 1093,3<198>C (1800<198>F a aproximadamente 2000<198>F), sob uma atmosfera inerte por aproximadamente 3 a aproximadamente 8 horas para atingir a espessura desejada do revestimento de aluminido. Nenhuma mascaragem de pó da área da superfície usinada é requerida. Devido ao aquecimento localizado, o vapor de alumínio gerado da fita somente depositará o revestimento de aluminido na área com fita.
