Abstract

"HIDRóXI CARBOXILATOS HIDRATADOS DE MAGNéSIO-ALUMìNIO QUASE-CRISTALINOS, SUA PREPARAçãO E SUA UTILIZAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a novas composições de matéria, referida como carboxilatos quase-cristalinos (QCCs), sua preparação e utilização. Os materiais compreendem um hidróxi carboxilato hidratado de magnésio-alumínio quase-cristalino e são caracterizados pela presença de pelo menos uma forte reflexão no modelo de difração de raios X de pó num espaçamento basal na faixa de 5 a 15 A<134>. A invenção refere-se adicionalmente a um processo para a preparação dos QCCS, soluções sólidas de Mg-Al e argilas aniónicas sob condições ácidas. O QCC é preparado pelo envelhecimento de uma mistura ácida de um carboxilato de magnésio e uma fonte de alumínio. A calcinação do QCC resulta em solução sólida de Mg-Al; a reidratação dessa solução sólida fornece a argila aniónica.
