Abstract
"MéTODO PARA TRATAR UMA DOENçA, UMA DEFORMAçãO OU UM DISTúRBIO DE UM PACIENTE HUMANO OU VETERINáRIO". Hidrogéis sintéticos, biodegradáveis, reticulados por radiação, e seu uso em várias aplicações, incluindo certas aplicações médicas nas quais o(s) hidrogel(es) é(são) implantado(s) sobre o ou dentro do corpo de um paciente animal ou humano. Hidrogéis sintéticos, biodegradáveis, reticulados por radiação desta invenção podem ser preparados pela irradiação de monómeros (por exemplo, hidrocarbonetos etilenicamente insaturados tais como monómeros acrílicos e monómeros metacrílicos) ou de polímeros, alguns dos quais são biodegradáveis ou contêm unidades ou subunidades biodegradáveis.
