Abstract

"SISTEMA PARA A LIBERAçãO CONTROLADA DE UMA DROGA POR MEIO DE RETENçãO GáSTRICA". A presente invenção proporciona um sistema para a liberação controlada de uma droga por meio de retenção gástrica o qual compreende: (a) um núcleo de liberação controlada compreendendo uma droga, um polímero capaz de inchar substancialmente e um agente de geração de gás, o referido núcleo sendo capaz de rapidamente inchar e alcançar uma flutuação enquanto mantendo a sua integridade física nos fluidos gastrointestinais por períodos prolongados, e (b) uma composição de revestimento de liberação rápida compreendendo a mesma droga que no núcleo e excipientes farmaceuticamente aceitáveis, na qual a composição de revestimento engloba o núcleo de tal maneira que o sistema proporciona uma liberação bifásica da droga nos fluidos gastrointestinais.
