Abstract
"MéTODOS DE DECODIFICAçãO DE UM BLOCO DE IMAGEM E DE COMPRESSãO DE DADOS DE VìDEO, E, DECODIFICADOR DE VìDEO PARA DECODIFICAR UM BLOCO DE IMAGEM". Um sistema e um método para codificar e decodificar dados de vídeo são inventados. Em um sistema e um método de compressão de dados de vídeo, um quadro de vídeo (32) é dividido em uma sequência de blocos de imagem (38), em que um dentre vários modos possíveis de codificação de bloco é um modo de compensação de movimento global implícita (IGMC), que é usado para copiar pixéis de um quadro anterior (32) deslocado por um vetor de movimento previsto. Em uma outra concretização da invenção, um sistema e um método de compressão de dados de vídeo, um quadro de vídeo (32) é segmentado em uma sequência de fatias (36), onde cada fatia (36) inclui uma série de macroblocos (38). Fatias (36) respectivas são codificadas e um sinal é incluido no cabeçalho (44) de uma fatia codificada (40) para indicar se a fatia é habilitada por GMC, ou seja, se a compensação de movimento global deve ser usada na reconstrução da fatia codificada. Se assim for, a informação de GMC tal como informação representando um conjunto de vetores de movimento (42a-42d) é incluída com a fatia. Em uma concretização útil, cada fatia (36) de um quadro (32) contém a mesma informação de GMVC, para aumentar a flexibilidade contra erros. Em uma outra concretização diferentes fatias (36) de um quadro (32) contêm informação de GMC diferente. Em cada concretização, os vetores de movimento (42a-42d) para cada imagem de uma fatia (40) codificada específica podem ser reconstruídos usando informação de GMC contida apenas na fatia codificada específica.
