A plataforma compreende uma pluralidade de colunas (4~ i~), que saem da base (3) e são concebidas para receber uma ponte (7). De acordo com o processo, a) leva-se, em flutuação, a ponte (7), por meio de um barco de fundo chato (6), para sobre a plataforma (1), e b) estabelece-se um contacto de apoio entre a ponte (7) e as colunas (4~ i~). De acordo com a invenção, antes da. etapa b), instala-se várias linhas sob tensão (10~ k~) sensivelmente verticalmente, entre o barco de fundo chato (6) e a base (3) e, durante a etapa b), mantém-se constantemente o valor da tensão nas linhas (10~ k~).
