Abstract
"GLICOSE 6-OXIDASES". São fornecidas enzimas glicose oxidase incluindo novas variantes de enzimas galactose oxidase. Os polinucleotídeos que abrangem essas novas variantes podem ser expressos em sistemas de expressão de células hospedeiras recombinantes. As novas variantes de enzimas oxidase são capazes de oxidar compostos contra os quais galactose oxidase do tipo selvagem (por exemplo D-galactose: oxigênio 6-oxidorreductase, GAO; EC 1.1.3.9) tem pouca ou nenhuma atividade. Variantes preferidas de galactose oxidase são aquelas que têm capacidade aperfeiçoada para oxidar álcoois secundários e/ou D-glicose relativa à enzimas do tipo selvagem.
