Abstract

"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA AUTENTICAçãO DE ITENS". Um sistema (10) é revelado para autenticação de um item (12), o item (12) estando associado com um evento ou associado com um ou mais participantes (70) no evento. O sistema (10) compreende primeiro meio de identificação (14) incorporado em um item (12) antes de um evento, o primeiro meio de identificação (14) tendo um identificador único associado, uma base de dados (22) para armazenamento de um registro de item incluindo informação indicativa do identificador único, e informação indicativa do item (12), e meio de detecção (20) para autenticar que o item (12) foi usado no evento pela detecção do primeiro meio de identificação (14), e reconhecendo o identificador único durante o evento enquanto o item (12) está sendo usado. O arranjo é tal que o registro de item é atualizado de modo a incluir informação indicativa do evento em que o item (12) tenha sido usado quando o item (12) tiver sido detectado pelo meio de detecção (20).
