Abstract
SISTEMA DE ACESSO MúLTIPLO POR DIVISãO DE CóDIGO ORTOGONAL. O CDMA ortogonal (OCDMA) no link de retorno de um sistema de comunicação baseado em satélite propicia melhores eficiências de largura de banda; maior capacidade para superar os fenómenos de degradação de canal; potência de transmissão reduzida; ou diversas combinações de tais. Pela obtenção da sincronização de código necessária para o uso vantajoso de OCDMA no link de retorno de um sistema de comunicação baseado em satélites, uma pluralidade de terminais, cada um com uma designação exclusiva de partição temporal /canal de código, podem transmitir concomitantemente, com uma potência agregada igual ou menor que aquela que seria usada por um único terminal usandoTDMA. O uso de OCDMA no link de retorno permite que um ou mais terminais, cada um em um facho comum e designados para uma partição temporal comum, transmitam com uma potência de transmissão mais elevada para superar os efeitos de degradação de canal. A capacidade de permitir uma potência de transmissão mais alta para um terminal específico pode elevar a taxa de dados efetiva para tal terminal por permitir o uso de uma técnica de modulação de ordem superior.
