Abstract

"MéTODO DE AMPLIAçãO DE FATOR BIOMéTRICO PARA UM SISTEMA DE IDENTIFICAçãO BASEADO EM FICHA". O método mais preferido para ampliar um sistema de identificação baseado em ficha existente, é emendar em um fluxo de dados transmitido de um leitor de ficha para um painel de controle, de tal modo que um fator de ficha adquirido a partir de um usuário é interceptado por um sistema de identificação biométrica ou autenticação, que é inserido em série em uma emenda no fluxo de dados. Quando o leitor de ficha transmite um fluxo de dados, tal como uma interface de Wiegand, para o painel de controle, o fluxo de dados é usado pelo sistema de identificação biométrico para orientar o usuário a apresentar uma característica anatómica a um leitor biométrico. O leitor biométrico cria um modelo de questionamento biométrico que é transmitido a uma máquina de pesquisa biométrica, juntamente com o fator de ficha adquirido, tal como um PIN ou código de barras, para efetuar análise de coincidência de dados em relação a um ou mais modelos de arrolamento associados ao fator de ficha adquirido. A máquina de pesquisa coincidirá um usuário autorizado ou rejeitará um usuário não identificável. Se há uma coincidência, então é permitido que o fluxo de dados passe do leitor biométrico para o painel de controle do sistema de identificação baseado em ficha existente. O sistema existente não necessita de outro modo ser modificado. A segurança de um Sistema de Controle de Acesso (ACS) pode ser grandemente reforçada por este método de ampliação que, preferivelmente, insere um sistema de identificação de impressão digital automático (AFIS) no fluxo de dados de um ACS estabelecido.
