Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO PARA O TRATAMENTO DE INFECçõES POR CHLAMYDIA E MéTODO PARA IDENTIFICAR OS MESMOS". A invenção se refere a modalidades terapêuticas e composições farmacêuticas para o tratamento de infecção por Chlamydia empregando polipeptídeos de ciclofilina e seu par ou pares de aglutinação celular humana correspondente como um alvo para intervenção. A presente invenção se refere ao uso de fontes exógenas ou enxertadas de ciclofilinas, anticorpos anti-ciclofilina, iscas de ciclofilina, formas solúveis de pares de aglutinação a ciclofilina e pequenas moléculas que são fornecidas extracelularmente, e atuam presumivelmente interrompendo-se a aglutinação da ciclofilina A com seu receptor(s) ou par(s) de aglutinação celular, como um tratamento para infecção por Chlamydia. A presente invenção ainda se refere a ensaios de avaliação quanto à identificação de compostos que inibem a interação da ciclofilina e seus pares de aglutinação de Chlamydia.
