A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de direção para um automóvel com uma árvore (4) apoiada de modo girável no chassi do veículo (3), com um carro (9) unido com a árvore (4) e deslocável ao longo dela, e com duas barras de direção (15, 16), fixadas no carro (9) e estendendo-se até as rodas (17, 18) de um eixo (A), sendo que o carro (9) é unido à árvore (4) através de um acionamento roscado.
