Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA FABRICAçãO DE ARTIGOS ATRAVéS DE MOLDAGEM DE COMPACTAçãO FRIA E OS ARTIGOS MOLDADOS PREPARADOS PELO MESMO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para fabricação de um artigo através de moldagem de compactação fria. O processo compreende compactação de uma composição de resina compreendendo homopolímero, copolímero e/ou combinação de polietileno de alto peso molecular e peso molecular ultra-alto (HMW-PE e UHMW-PE, respectivamente) e um seq³estrante de ácido inorgânico em uma temperatura abaixo de temperatura de amolecimento da composição. Um artigo preparado de acordo com o processo reivindicado mostra menores dados de teste de corrosão comparado a artigos preparados a partir de HMW-PE e UHMW-PE virgem, e uma aperfeiçoada resistência de compactação fria comparado a artigos preparados usando resinas contendo sabões de metais.
