Abstract

"SISTEMA DE RESFRIAMENTO DE REFORMADO E MéTODO PARA USO EM UM SUBSISTEMA DE PROCESSAMENTO DE COMBUSTìVEL". Sistema de resfriamento (10) é proporcionado para uso com um subsistema de processamento de combustível (12) para reduzir um nível de monóxido de carbono em um fluxo de reformado (14) para um sistema de célula de combustível de membrana de troca de prótons (16). O subsistema de processamento de combustível (12) inclui primeiro e segundo oxidantes preferenciais (18, 20) para oxidar o monóxido de carbono conduzido no fluxo de reformado. O sistema de resfriamento de reformado (10) inclui um curso de fluxo de refrigerante (30), um curso de fluxo de reformado (32) e primeira, segunda, terceira e quarta porções de núcleo de trocadores de calor (34, 36, 38, 40). As porções de núcleo (36 - 40) são dispostas em seq³ência numerada ao longo do curso de fluxo de reformado (32) com as primeira e segunda porções de núcleo (34, 36) localizadas a montante do primeiro oxidante preferencial (18) e as terceira e quarta porções de núcleo (38, 40) localizadas a jusante do primeiro oxidante preferencial (18) e a montante do segundo oxidante preferencial (20). As primeira e segunda porções de núcleo (34, 36) são dispostas em seq³ência numerada ao longo do curso de fluxo de refrigerante (30), uma das terceira e quarta porções de núcleo (38, 40) é disposta a montante da primeira porção de núcleo (34) ao longo do curso de fluxo de refrigerante (30) e a outra das terceira e quarta porções de núcleo (38, 40) é disposta a jusante da segunda porção de núcleo ao longo do curso de fluxo de refrigerante (30).
