Abstract
"SISTEMA DE SUPRESSãO DE INCêNDIO POR GáS INERTE COM AUTOMODULAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de supressão de risco de gás inerte em pressão relativamente baixa (20), o qual é projetado para proteger uma sala (22), ou similar, dos efeitos de incêndio ou outro risco. O sistema (20) inclui uma pluralidade de cilindros de gás inerte pressurizados (24) cada um equipado com uma unidade de válvula (26); cada unidade de válvula (26) é por sua vez acoplada por meio de um conduto (28) a um conduto de distribuição (30). As respectivas unidades de válvula (26) são operáveis para distribuir gás a partir dos cilindros (24) a uma pressão genericamente constante (usualmente ao redor de 10 a 100 bar), durante uma porção substancial do tempo de distribuição de gás, para com isto fornecer supressão de risco efetiva sem a necessidade de equipamento de manipulação e distribuição de gás oneroso em alta pressão, e uma redução na área de ventilação da sala devido à sobre-pressurização mais baixa da sala. Cada unidade de válvula (26) tem um corpo de válvula (48) e um elemento de vedação do tipo pistão deslocável (56). Pressão de gás a partir do cilindro (24) e um conjunto de mola (184) deslocam o elemento (56) para a posição de válvula aberta, isto sendo equilibrado por pressão de gás dentro das câmaras de equalização e modulação (180, 182) fornecidas na unidade de válvula (26). Quando um risco é detectado, as unidades de válvula (26) são atuadas por meio de drenagem de gás a partir das câmaras de modulação (182) o que permite escoamento de gás a partir dos cilindros (24). Quando a descarga de gás prossegue, gás escoa para dentro e para fora das câmaras de modulação (182) de modo a alcançar a saída de gás em pressão genericamente constante desejada. Próximo ao final da descarga de gás, o conjunto de mola (184) se torna predominante e mantém a unidade de válvula (26) aberta até que todo o gás seja descarregado.
