Abstract
"APARELHO E MéTODO DE FUNDIçãO EM COQUILHA DIRETA HORIZONTAL". A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho de fundição (10) para um metal de fundição em coquilha direta inclui um prato de escorrimento (12) contendo um suprimento de metal fundido, um molde de fundição (14), e um bloco de motor de partida (44) associado ao molde de fundição (14). O molde de fundição (14) fica em comunicação fluida com o prato de escorrimento (12) através de uma passagem (22) definida na parede de prato de escorrimento. O molde de fundição (14) inclui uma chapa de coletor (24), um anel de fundição (26), e um anel de alimentação (28). A chapa de coletor (24) define uma abertura de formato arqueado (36) conectada à passagem (22). A chapa de coletor (24) possui um lado a montante (38) e um lado a jusante (40). O anel de fundição (26) é conectado ao lado a jusante (40) da chapa de coletor (24) e define uma ranhura (52) próxima à parede lateral (48) da chapa de coletor (24). O anel de alimentação (28) fica disposto na ranhura.
