"MéTODO PARA LIMPAR UM LOTE DE MATERIAIS GRANULARES A SER USADO NA EXTRUSãO DE UM PRODUTO, E, APARELHOS PARA REMOVER CONTAMINANTES DE UMA COLEçãO DE PELOTAS DESTINADA A EXTRUDAR UM PRODUTO, E PARA LIMPAR UM LOTE DE MATERIAIS DESTINADO A EXTRUDAR UM PRODUTO". Um aparelho (100) e método para limpar um lote de pelotas ou grânulos antes do uso em um processo de extrusão. Contaminantes soltos tendo características de material que são indesejados para o produto extrusado são primeiro removidos (110) do lote usando um desempoeirador. O desempoeirador também pode remover finos descontaminados e cotão do lote. As pelotas que são defeituosas ou de outro modo indesejadas para o processo de extrusão assim como outros contaminantes de partícula solta podem ser então eficientemente detectados e removidos (120) sem os riscos dos finos entupir o aparelho ou cobrir o processo de detecção.
