Patente de Invenção "PROCESSO PARA TRATAR UM óLEO CìTRICO E PARA SEPARAR MATERIAL CEROSO, PARA EXTRAIR EPóXIDOS DE PSORALEìNA DE UM óLEO CìTRICO E PARA RETIRAR MATERIAL CEROSO DE UMA EMULSãO DE áGUA E UM óLEO CìTRICO E óLEO CìTRICO OBTIDO". Processo para deteminar e extrair componentes laterais de formação de sedimento de óleos cítricos, para suplementar um processo de cera de óleos cítricos. Os epóxidos de psoraleína existentes em óleos cítricos são convertidos em dióis de um modo acelerado e controlado. A transformação de epóxidos em diol é efetuada por misturação do óleo cítricos com uma solução de tratamento sob condições (isto é, em relação ao pH e volume) e por um tempo suficientes para converter substancialmente todos os epóxidos de psoraleína. Os dóis assim formados, são, de preferência, dissolvidos na fase aquosa, durante e misturação. Por separação da fase aquosa do óleo, o óleo cítrico é substancialmente liberado dos epóxidos. Por esse processo, os epóxidos são eliminados a baixo preço dos óleos cítricos, resultando um produto aperfeiçoado que tem, por exemplo, potencial de sedimentação reduzido e fototoxidez reduzida.
