<B>APERFEIçOAMENTO DO RENDIMENTO DE PLANTAS<D> A invenção refere-se ao uso exógeno de betaína para aperfeiçoar o rendimento de cereais C-4. De acordo com a invenção, betaína é utilizada para aperfeiçoar o rendimento especialmente sob condições de tensão. A invenção também se refere a cereais C-4 tratados exogenamente com betaína, particularmente a sementes de tais plantas.
