Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA COMPRESSãO DE DADOS BIDIMENSIONAIS"<D>. Um sistema e método para comprimir dados, incluindo dados de imagem (204). Os dados de imagem (204) são formados por uma série de pixels, a série de pixels possuindo pixels alvo (206) e pixels anteriores (206), cada pixel anterior estando localizado em uma posição dentro da série de pixels antes de cada um dos pixels alvo. O método da presente invenção inclui comprimir os dados de imagem (204) para se obter uma imagem comprimida. Na etapa de compressão, a série de pixels é examinada de acordo com um padrão de exame bidimensional não-linear predeterminado (206). Uma cadeia de pixels anterior que combina mais extensa (208, 210), se houver, é localizada para cada cadeia de pixels alvo possuindo uma cadeia de pixels anteriores que combinam.
