"áCIDO NUCLEICO, PROCESSOS PARA DETERMINAR A SUSCETIBLIDADE DE UM PACIENTE A CâNCER, PARA DIAGNOSTICAR CâNCER EM UM PACIENTE, PARA PREVER AS PERSPECTIVAS RELATIVAS DO SURGIMENTO PARTICULAR DE UM CâNCER EM UM PACIENTE, PARA TRATAR CâNCER E PARA DETERMINAR A PERDA DE HETEROZIGOSIDADE EM AMOSTRA DE TECIDO, SISTEMA PARA DETECTAR A PRESENçA OU AUSêNCIA DE, OU MUTAçãO, NA REGIãO DE CROMOSSOMO 10 HUMANO, POLIPEPTìDEO, MOLéCULA E USO DE áCIDO NUCLEICO E DE UMA MOLéCULA". Processo para determinar a suscetibilidade de um paciente a câncer compreendendo as etapas de (i) obter uma amostra contendo ácido nucléico derivado do paciente, e (ii) contatar o referido ácido nucléico com um ácido nucléico capaz de seletivamente hibridizar para a região de cromossomo 10 humano, cuja região é ligada por DNA definido pelos marcadores de D10S541 e D10S215. Um ácido nucléico capaz de seletivamente hibridizar para a região de cromossomos 10 humano cuja região é ligada por DNA definido pelos marcadores de D10S541 e D10S215, desde que o ácido nucléico não seja qualquer um de alguns YACs, BACs, PACs ou ESTs, definidos aqui. Preferivelmente, o referido ácido nucléico é um gene supressor de tumor da próstata.
