Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"RECUPERAçãO DE NìQUEL A PARTIR DE SOLUçãO DE BIOLIXìVIA"<D>. Um método de biolixiviamento é proporcionado para recuperação de um níquel de um minério selecionado do grupo consistindo em minérios lateríticos contendo níquel e minérios sulfídicos contendo níquel ou concentrados dos mesmos. Quando o minério selecionado é um minério laterítico contendo níquel, pelo menos um microorganismo seletivo ao biolixiviamento do minério laterítico é proporcionado como uma soluçào aquosa dos mesmos, mantida em um pH oscilando de cerca de 1 a 3, incluindo um nutriente para o microorganismo. O minério, ou como uma pasta, um monte, ou uma carga em uma cuba é biolixiviado durante um tempo suficiente para realizar a dissolução do níquel no minério e formar uma solução do mesmo e um resíduo, o qual é separado da solução.
