Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>SISTEMA DE IGNIçãO POR CENTELHA MóVEL E DISPOSITIVO DE IGNIçãO PARA O MESMO<D>. Dispositivo de ignição de plasma, ou fonte de plasma, para inflamar uma mistura combustível em um motor de combustão interna. O dispositivo de ignição inclui pelo menos dois eletrodos distanciados, dimensionados e dispostos de tal modo que um plasma que se move para fora é formado quando uma voltagem é aplicada sobre os eletrodos. A presente invenção está caracterizada por seu uso eficiente de energia elétrica aplicada para acionar o dispositivo de ignição de plasma e por um núcleo de plasma de ignição, que é maior por várias ordens de tamanho, do que aquele produzido por velas de ignição convencionais. O movimento para fora e a expansão do núcleo de plasma são produzidos por uma força Lorentz sobre o mesmo, originando-se da interação entre a voltagem aplicada e a corrente entre os eletrodos, através da mistura, depois da geração inicial de plasma na mistura. O uso de misturas combustíveis muito pobres, nas quais a diluição da mistura é obtida pelo uso de recirculação de gás de escapamento, torna-se possível pelo presente sistema de ignição. São obtidos aperfeiçoamento da eficiência do motor e uma importante redução em poluentes de gás de escapamento de No~x~.
