Abstract
Patente de Invenção:<B>"APARELHO PARA PROCESSAR METAIS FUNDIDOS CORROSIVOS"<D>. Um aparelho para processar materiais que são altamente corrosivos enquanto em um estado tixotrópico, por exemplo alumínio. O aparelho inclui um tambor que é adaptado para receber o material através de uma entrada. No tambor, o material é aquecido e submetido ao cisalhamento, formando uma pasta semi-sólida; altamente corrosiva que é descarregada do tambor através de um bocal. O tambor é construído com uma camada externa de um primeiro material e uma camada interna de uma liga à base de Nb que é ligada à camada externa. Posionado dentro da passagem do tambor está um parafuso, a rotação do qual opera para submeter o material ao cisalhamento e mover o material através do tambor. O parafuso é construído com uma camada externa de liga à base de Nb que é molecularmente ligada a um núcleo interno de um material diferente. A liga à base de Nb é resistente aos efeitos corrosivos do material que está sendo processado.
