Abstract

Patente de Invenção:<B>"PROCESSO PARA HIDROGENAçãO DE AçUCARES POR MEIO DE UM CATALISADOR EM CONCHA"<D>. A invenção refere-se a um processo para a hidrogenação de açúcares ou mistutas de açúcares para formar álcoois de açúcares ou misturas de álcoois de açúcares, sendo que os açúcares ou misturas de açúcares são hidrogenados em solução aquosa, sob temperatura elevada e pressão elevada, com hidrogênio, sob utilização de um catalisador em concha contendo uma mistura de um metal de Raney puro e de uma liga de metal de Raney e sendo que o catalisador em concha apresenta um núcleo catalítico amplamente inativo e que atua como suporte, bem como uma concha cataliticamente ativa.
