Abstract
"UNIDADE DE CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, PILHA DE CéLULAS DE COMBUSTìVEL E SEUS USOS". A presente invenção relaciona-se a uma unidade de célula de combustível para produzir corrente contínua convertendo energia química, usando um eletrólito que suporta um ânodo e um cátodo separadamente um do outro. A citada unidade de célula de combustível tem um eletrólito de matriz de micro-fibras ocas auto-suportáveis (2). \as citadas micro-fibras micro-ocas têm uma espessura de parede de aprox. 0,01 a 50 Ám e um diâmetro externo equivalente de aprox. 0,05 a 280 Ám. As micro-fibras ocas são arranjadas quer na forma de filamentos ligados ou de tecidos de fios de filamentos, caso em que as extremidades (3) das micro-fibras ocas são ligadas de uma maneira de tal modo que elas sejam dimensionalmente estáveis e sejam deixadas pelo menos parcialmente livres para permitir acesso ao lúmen da fibra oca, ou de fibras grampeadas ligadas ou tecido de fios de fibra grampeadas, caso em que as extremidades (3) são ligadas de um modo que elas sejam dimensionalmente estáveis. A invenção também relaciona-se a uma pilha de células de combustível (1) produzida de várias de tais unidades de células de combustível deste tipo, e ao uso de uma unidade de célula de combustível deste tipo.
