Abstract
"COMPOSIçãO DE POLìMERO, COMPOSIçãO DE ESTABILIZADOR, E, PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE UMA COMPOSIçãO PARA A ESTABILIZAçãO DE UM POLìMERO CONTENDO HALOGêNIO". Composições de polímero de cloreto de vinila flexíveis, semi-rígidas, e rígidas compreendendo um estabilizador térmico contendo mercaptano latente são substancialmente isentas do odor ofensivo tipicamente associado com mercaptanos e são protegidas durante o processamento pelos produtos de degradação do mercaptano latente (isto é, bloqueada) que incluem um mercaptano livre. O mercaptano livre assim liberado intensifica a atividade dos estabilizadores térmicos à base de metal, tais que caboxilatos de zinco e mercaptídeos e carboxilatos de organoestanho na composição de polímero. Outros produtos de degradação são tidos como incluindo carbocátions da porção bloqueadora, que são estabilizados por uma estrutura molecular, na qual a deficiência de elétron é compartilhada por vários grupos.
