Esta invenção provê processos para a produção de um composto lactona terpenóide, que compreende a cultura de Codinaea talbotii FERM BP-6321 e em seguida isolamento do composto lactona terpenóide a partir do caldo de fermentação. O composto produzido por estes processos inclui o composto lactona terpenóide da fórmula que se segue: A presente invenção também refere-se a uma composição farmacêutica compreendendo os mesmos, a qual é útil no tratamento de infeção por fungos ou semelhantes.
