Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA PRODUçãO DE HIDRóXIDO DE ALUMìNIO NãO-REFINADO"<D>. A invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de hidróxido de alumínio não-refinado, via o processo Bayer, no qual os valores de alumina do minério contendo alumina são solubilizados, a uma temperatura relativamente alta, em um licor aquoso de soda cáustica e aluminato de sódio e no qual esses valores são posteriormente cristalizados, a uma temperatura mais baixa, na forma de hidróxido de alumínio. O processo para a produção de hidróxido de alumínio não-refinado incorpora a decomposição de um licor de aluminato alcalino super-saturado em um processo de precipitação em dois estágios, tendo um estágio de aglomeração e um estágio de crescimento. O estágio de aglomeração ocorre nos tanques de aglomeração, nos quais o licor é nucleado com hidróxido de alumínio fino, para induzir precipitação e formação de uma suspensão, seguido por um estágio de crescimento, no qual a suspensão é nucleada com um hidróxido de alumínio não-refinado. Tipicamente, a alimentação do licor de aluminato alcalino super-saturado é dividida em um tanque de aglomeração primária, a uma temperatura do licor mais alta de 70 a 100°C, e um tanques de aglomeração primária ou um ou mais de uma série de tanques de aglomeração secundária, a uma temperatura do licor mais baixa de 50 a 80°C, produzindo ao final da precipitação um hidróxido de alumínio não-refinado resistente, gerando, após calcinação, uma alumina arenosa com baixo teor de soda ocluída, compatível com uma alta produtividade de licor.
