Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE CAPROLACTAMA" Uma melhoria no processo convencional de produção de caprolactama. O processo envolve as etapas de : (a) reagir ar com amónia gasosa em uma zona de conversão de amónia para produzir óxido nítrico; (b) oxidar uma porção do óxido nítrico a dióxido de nitrogênio para produzir uma corrente gasosa de processo rica em NO~ x~; (c) reagir a corrente rica em NO~ x~ com carbonato de amónio em uma zona de nitritação para produzir nitrito de amónio; (d) reduzir o nitrito de amónio a sulfato de hidroxilamina diamónio; (e) hidrolisar o sulfato de hidroxilamina diamónio a sulfato de hidroxilamina; (f) oximar o sulfato de hidroxilamina com ciclo-hexanona para produzir ciclo-hexanona oxima; e (g) converter a ciclo-hexanona oxima a caprolactama. O processo é melhorado pela adição do oxigênio suplementar a jusante da zona de conversão de amónia para aumentar a quantidade de, e a velocidade de formação de, dióxido de nitrogênio na corrente gasosa de processo rica em NO~ x~.
