Abstract

"APARELHO CODIFICADOR/DECODIFICADOR ARITMéTICO PARA CODIFICAR/DECODIFICAR ARITMETICAMENTE UM SINAL DE INFORMAçãO DIGITAL, PROCESSO DE CODIFICAçãO ARITMéTICA PARA CODIFICAR ARITMETICAMENTE UM SINAL DE INFORMAçãO DIGITAL, E, SUPORTE DE GRAVAçãO". Sinais de áudio podem ser convertidos de analógicos em digitais utilizando as bem conhecidas técnicas de modulação Sigma-Delta. O sinal digital então consiste em uma seq³ência de amostras de 1-bit a uma freq³ência de .ex.2822400 Hz (=64*44100 Hz). Técnicas de codificação sem perda são conhecidas para reduzir a capacidade de armazenamento ou transmissão requerida para estes sinais de áudio de 1-bit sobreamostrados. Com a invenção atual o desempenho (razão de compactação) do codificador sem perda para sinais de áudio de 1-bit sobreamostrados pode ser aperfeiçoada. Isto é realizado às vezes anulando de probabilidade para o codificador sem perdas.
